Kleberg County Extension Service is Hiring an Office Manager/Secretary Near Kingsville, TX

Job Overview:
We are seeking an Office Manager/Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative & secretarial support and ensuring efficient office operations. Full-time county funded with benefits (health, dental, retirement, etc.)

Duties:
- Performs clerical tasks such as picking up, sorting, and distributing mail, filing, data entry/word processing, copying, creating fliers, and organizing documents.

- Manages (prepares & proofreads) correspondences including emails.

- Answers phone including transferring calls and taking messages.

- Reconciles budgets including accounts payable/receivable.

- Maintains inventory: computers, small equipment, and check-out items.

- Maintains updated publications, displays, office calendar, and other required policies.

- Maintains office supply inventory and place orders when necessary.

- Assists with off-site activities as deemed appropriate. Maintains records of events including itineraries, agendas, & attendance sheets.

- Maintains official contact list of county, state, & federal agencies, organizations, and associations.

- Processes/distributes newsletters, brochures, mass mailings, and social media.

- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Experience as an office secretary or administrative assistant.

- Proficient in computer applications like MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & other computer programs.

- Excellent customer service & organizational (time-management) skills. Must be able to multi-task.

- Strong communication skills.
